What an amazing two days it has been! A couple hours ago, the 2nd meeting of our DFG-funded research network (main organiser: Sylvia Jaki, Hildesheim) came to a close.
The programme featured two extremely interesting keynotes – John A. Bateman presented on ‘How to analyse anything – How to analyse anything: Ein Blick von der ‚bleeding edge‘ der Multimodalitätstheorie‘ and Hans-Jürgen Bucher addressed the question of ‘Was heißt „multimodale Sinnkonstitution“? Multimodalität aus der Rezeptionsperspektive‘.
In addition to the talks, however, Matthias Meiler (Chemnitz) and Janina Wildfeuer (Groningen) has planned extensive working sessions in which we got to discuss two multimodal documents in relation to selected publications on multimodal theory, methods, and data.
In preparation of our meeting, I had also worked on our networks visual identity, including a logo (in colour and b/w) and a social media thumbnail image. It’ll from now on represent our group and feature in our outreach activities.
